Celestial Chorus

Celestial Chorus brings you an app-driven choir performance that sings the stars as they rise and set over the horizon -for any location on Earth.

The project is a collaboration across contemporary art, music, astronomy and design and works with the native potentials of smart device technology to create a unique experience accesible to audiences wherever they find themselves in the world.

The presentation can have a chorus of up to 36 singers, can be performed in outdoor settings and indoor venues. Depending on the specifics of the area/site, the chorus can perform a capella or they might need the assistance of microphones.

The atmospheric site specific performance connects audiences with the unseen motions of our galaxy, through the intimacy of an app, and the large scale spectacle of a choral performance,
